What We're About

The Timber & Forestry Foundation (TFF) is an educational platform that promotes the inherent sustainability, carbon sequestration benefits, and beauty of North and South American timber and hardwoods. We believe that with promotional efforts, advocacy campaigns, and educational programs, these widely varied species of timber and hardwoods can thrive like never before.

As the world moves together in design toward the goal of carbon neutrality, TFF develops modern educational campaigns and outreach programs using innovative digital tools to reach into U.S. and international markets to drive demand for sustainably managed, legally harvested timber and hardwood products. TFF believes that conveying the true nature of timber and hardwoods as sustainable, green products is essential to influencing buying trends worldwide.

The Challenge:

The American timber and hardwoods industry needs multifaceted and modern educational campaigns to help battle misconceptions about the resource and influence the design community and the public to use — and choose — American hardwoods because they are the most sustainable and beautiful in the world.

The Plan:

The Timber & Forestry Foundation, or TFF, intends to develop campaigns employing modern marketing tactics, including print, digital, and live events, to reach into U.S. and international markets and encourage national and worldwide demand for American timber and hardwood products.

The Proof:

TFF serves hardwoods, softwoods, and lumber companies and organizations by developing dynamic, modern media for the public, such as videos, presentations, webinars, social media, events, and speaking engagements.

TFF can create educational and promotional videos like the one below, produced for Banks Hardwoods, a premier hardwoods supplier headquartered in White Pigeon, MI. Video like this not only help promote individual companies, but the industry as a whole.

The video has reached over 375,000 views in less than a year from launch, and continues to expand its reach; the video is now featured on the National Hardwood Lumber Association's website. Educational and promotional videos sponsored by individual companies and organizations: that's how TFF is growing our industry's future.

Our TEDx Talk

The Timber & Forestry Foundation's founding director was has been featured as a TEDx speaker.
